Mission Statement

MFT of IA’s mission is to cultivate a strong, interconnected professional home for Iowa MFTs by fostering community, expanding access to meaningful resources, and providing high quality education through our annual statewide conference. We support relational therapists across all phases of their careers as they deepen their impact in Iowa’s families, systems, and communities.

Inaugural In-Person Conference

Join us for the first annual in-person conference November 6, 2026 at the Mt Mercy Graduate Center. Topics include sex, leadership, cultural competency, and neurodivergence in the therapy room. 6 CEU's

Advocacy

Iowa has seen countless impacts on mental health at a state level. Now more than ever it's imperative that we have eyes, ears and a voice at the statehouse to advocate for MFTs and our clients in this state.
